A fellowship is advanced training of healing which involves a speciality area. There are significant intangible gains associated with being called fellow, Integrative Medicine Research Physician. A fellowship represents the highest level of clinical and academic training. Earning the position of fellowship is considered to be an honor. Fellow's are considered specialist in any field.  Fellowship certification can be achieved after a minimum of two years following attainment of board certification.
